Both Celtic and Rangers have been hit with fines by UEFA following incident during their Europa League clashes. The Parkhead side have been punished following a Countdown-inspired banner displayed against Ferencvaros at Celtic Park that was aimed straight at European football's decision makers.

Two Celtic fan groups slammed UEFA with a Countdown-themed banner slamming the decision that caused their Europa League clash to kick off at 3.30pm on a Tuesday.

But both the Green Brigade and the Bhoys sections were irked as UEFA declared the game had to be an afternoon kick-off to avoid clashing with Champions League fixtures.
