Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip married on November 20 1947 and upon the Duke of Edinburgh’s death last year, they had a 73 year long marriage.The couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London and the then-Princess Elizabeth was the 10th member of the Royal Family to be married at the location.
Along with over 2,000 guests at the ceremony, the young royal had eight bridesmaids accompany her down the aisle.The mood is now sombre however, as the bridesmaids who accompanied the Queen to her wedding altar will be saying their final goodbyes to her at her funeral.
