Kate Middleton has been left convinced Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was keeping a close eye on the Royal Family following her death on 8 September.
The Prince and Princess of Wales met with the unsung heroes who helped organise and the late monarch's funeral in Windsor to thank them for their "seamless and extraordinary" operation.
Spending an hour in Windsor Guildhall with the likes of St John's Ambulance crew, Crown Estate staff, council workers and volunteers – Kate offered insight into how the Royal Family held up during the week between the Queen's death and her funeral on 19 September.
Prince William, 40, explained that the family had seen five rainbows above Balmoral during their time in Scotland following Her Majesty's death on the Thursday. "In Scotland, how many rainbows turned up?" one person questioned. "You hardly ever see rainbows up there, but there were five." Smiling, Kate shared: "Her Majesty was looking down on us." The Princess stayed behind in Windsor on the day of the Queen's death, looking after her three children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and four year old Prince Louis, while her husband flew out to be with his grandmother.
