The condition of gas pipes in Kincaidston are being probed as part of an investigation into the devastating explosion. Almost one month later the cause of the blast that ripped apart three homes in Gorse Park in the Ayr estate remains unknown.
A multi-agency investigation that began after the October 18 explosion is still ongoing. Marion and William Ferguson remain seriously injured in hospital.
Their two children have been released from hospital and are being cared for by relatives.Sources said that the multi-agency probe is looking into the condition of the pipes.The Post can reveal that investigators are looking into gas pipes on the estate.It comes as SGN vowed to rip out old pipes that residents feared were corroding under their homes.
