Prison Break held a steady audience for the second consecutive week, raking in another 1.6B minutes viewed from August 12 to 18.
That put it in first place on Nielsen‘s streaming charts, fueled by its return to Netflix in July. According to Nielsen, Hispanic viewers accounted for nearly a third of Prison Break‘s audience during this interval, as the company says that demo is a “major driver” of the show’s viewership.
The overall list had a refreshing amount of streaming original content due in part to the fact that, as Nielsen points out, the end of the Olympics brought a lull in sports, which generally does coincide with a boost in streaming.
Netflix was responsible for all four of the streaming originals on the list, starting with The Umbrella Academy in second place, tallying 1.3B minutes viewed in Season 4’s first full week on the platform.
