Primark makes major change as it finally trials click and collect service

Fashion giant Primark has finally answered shoppers thoughts and prayers as they are finally set to trial a click and collect service on thousands of items.The fashion retailer has confirmed it will begin trialling the service on their kids clothing and accessories in 25 of their stores in the North West of England by the end of the year.

It is currently unclear whether the trial will extend to Scotland and other parts of the UK. The click and collect service will offer 2,000 options across clothing, accessories and lifestyle products.

Around 40% of these options are exclusive to click and collect customers.Primark's dedicated fans have been calling for them to begin selling online, especially after the business seen a major loss in profits during the first Covid lockdown.The Retail Gazette reports that Primark is trialling the service on their kids department as it has the potential to “satisfy unfulfilled demand” and would help to drive new and existing customers back into their stores.It has not been confirmed which stores will be offering the trial, but Primark have said that will allow customers who live near a smaller store access a wider range of stock.Those included in the trial will have designated collection areas in the heart of the shop.

Click-and-collect will be free for customers and returns will also be accepted free of change in stores.ABF Foods have said: "Our average size stores are only able to stock a limited range and for these customers the number of options available to them will broadly double, increasing even more for customers of our small stores."This trial will enable us to provide more fashion, licence and lifestyle products to more customers and more often.”It comes just after the
