Positive cases of COVID-19 in NHS Ayrshire and Arran hit 199, Scottish Government confirm

There are now 199 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ayrshire and Arran.The latest figures show a further 22 people have been confirmed as having tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.It represents a hike from yesterday's figure of 177.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon earlier revealed that 2,310 people in Scotland had tested positive - an increase of 317 from Tuesday.A total of 1,153 people are in hospital with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 with 147 people in intensive care.A further 16 deaths were confirmed today, taking the number of fatalities in Scotland to 76.The First Minister aims for up to 3,500 people a day to be tested by the end of April.Latest figures (by health board):
