The Scottish Government has recommended that members of the public wear face coverings while in supermarkets and on public transport.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon made the announcement this afternoon as a measure to halt the spread of coronavirus.The new recommendation isn't enforceable or mandatory but this could be reviewed in the future.
The government also announced that Ayrshire cases have risen again today to 738. An increase of 17 casesAcross Scotland 1132 people have died.
An increase in 70 from yesterday.There have been 10,721 confirmed cases of COVID-19 which is an increase of 200.In Ayrshire, the number of patients in intensive care with confirmed or suspected coronavirus stood at 5 at midnight- down from two yesterday.A total
