Rangers, a court has heard.Advocate Andrew Smith QC told judge Lord Tyre that lawyers acting for Police Scotland have spent 200 hours speaking to Detective Chief Inspector Jim Robertson.Smith is acting for business restructuring expert David Grier, who is suing the force for £2million.Grier, 58, says he was wrongly arrested during an investigation led by DCI Robertson into allegations of criminal behaviour during the sale of Rangers in 2011.The officer looked into claims Grier broke the law during the sale.
But Grier was cleared and he claims DCI Robertson failed to follow correct legal procedures in the investigation.Grier’s legal team also claims the officer failed to disclose important evidence to prosecutors which showed he was.
