TV star Nadiya Hussain tells Kate Garraway about a horrifying attack by bullies when she was at school in the second episode of ITV's Life Stories.
Kate, 54, sat down for an interview with the 2015 Great British Bake Off winner, 37, after taking over as the host of Life Stories from Piers Morgan.
British-Bangladeshi baking star Nadiya candidly spoke to Kate about growing up Muslim in the UK and how she was targeted as a youngster.
In a preview clip that aired on Good Morning Britain Nadiya says about her ordeal: "I was in there and they had come in and before I knew it my head was in the loo and they were flushing it repeatedly and holding me down. "Even to this day every time I go to the loo that image comes instantly, it just pops up into my head. "And it got to a stage when I would deliberately not touch water like eat or drink because I didn't want to go to the loo." Kate told Good Morning Britain viewers that Nadiya reveals she has "injuries that are still with her" from other attacks that her parents are not aware of.
