Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

Police went with the intent of identifying the hotel staffers who were working on the day of the One Direction alum’s death, October 16, as well as in the days before.
To do this, they were searching through documents from the hotel’s registration books as well as info from computers. Insiders also noted that “the hotel must provide” more security footage to continue piecing together Liam’s last moments. Police have aquired the hotel’s computers, phones, and other devices. Photos of the raid show cops standing in what appears to be the lobby, checking out the computers and talking with employees.
