Police issue CCTV images after boy assaulted on Metrolink tram

Police have issued CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to after a boy was assaulted on a Metrolink tram. According to Greater Manchester Police, the victim, aged 17, was repeatedly hit about the head by a gang of up to six youths.

He was eventually rescued by another passenger who got off the tram with him early. A GMP spokesman said: "Although no one has been arrested for this horrendous attack at this stage, the investigation is still ongoing
