Emergency services are dealing with a 'small contained explosion' that took place at a property in Wigan. The incident took place at Grasmere Drive in Ashton-in-Makerfield and according to police no one was injured and no surrounding properties have been affected.
The house was empty at the time of the blast that was caused by a gas canister that catching fire. Enquiries are ongoing. GMP Wigan West said: "Emergency services are currently responding to an incident at a property on Grasmere Drive, Ashton-in-Makerfield. "Enquiries are ongoing but, at this early stage, it appears a gas canister caught fire causing a small contained explosion. "The property was empty at the time.
