PIERS Morgan has paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II - saying that he struggles "to imagine Britain without this Queen". The TalkTV star was tonight one of the first celebrities to react after Buckingham Palace confirmed Her Majesty Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch in British history, had passed away.
Buckingham Palace announced in a statement tonight: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. "The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow." Charles, 73 - who revealed his "great sadness" at the loss of his mother - is now King of England, with his wife Camilla as Queen Consort.
Following the heartbreaking news, celebrities rushed to mourn The Queen, with Piers, 57, leading the way. Moments after the Buckingham Palace announcement was released, Piers began a special show on TalkTV to mark the Queen’s life.
Expressing his admiration for the monarchy, the emotional host gave a heartfelt tribute, saying: “Well, this is one of the saddest and most momentous turning points in the history of the United Kingdom.
