Pictures capture scene of devastation after woman in her 50s injured in house fire

Shocking photographs from the scene of a house fire in Salford early this morning capture a scene of devastation. The blaze broke out at the property on Montonmill Gardens, near Monton, Eccles, at around 5.15am on Tuesday and left a woman aged in her 50s in hospital injured.

Police said that thankfully, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening As a joint police and fire service investigation gets underway to determine a cause of the fire and establish exactly what happened, images from the scene show the extent of the damage caused to the property involved. Brickwork around a side window is also shown to have been charred, with firefighters captured inside and outside surveying the damage.

As reported in the Manchester Evening News, firefighters in four fire engines, police officers and paramedics descended on the scene.
