Pensioner, 91, killed in devastating Highland crash named by police

Highland crash has been named by police. James Alexander, 91, lost his life after being involved in the smash between two cars at the junction of Thurlow Road and Seafield Street, Nairn, at around 4.50pm on Thursday January 21.

The victim, who is from the town, was a pedestrian at the time of the collision. Ambulance crews rushed Mr Alexander to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment for "serious injuries".He sadly he passed away on Monday, 25 January.Police are no appealing for information from anyone who may be able to help them with their enquiries.A Police Scotland statement read: "Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police can call 101, quoting incident 2265 of 21 January,.
