Olly Murs rushed to hospital for surgery as the star cancels summer shows in Scotland

Olly Murs has cancelled his upcoming tour after being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. The Troublemaker singer was due to play at Edinburgh Castle as well as taking the show to Inverness this summer.

Forced to pull the plug on all 21 upcoming events, the showman will instead spend the summer months concentrating on rehabilitation after an op on his knee.

Olly took to social media to share the news as he apologised to all with tickets for the gigs, reports The Mirror.In a heartfelt post he explained the situation and promised to be back on stage as soon as his health permits.He told fans: "Been trying my best to avoid having it done but the op was needed and it went well."I’m recovering in hospital but it means I’m having to cancel all my summer shows this year whilst I focus on my rehab."Refunds will all be available from your point of purchase and please keep an eye out for any emails from your ticketing agent over the next few days."I’m so bloody sorry but my focus now is on recovering and I’ll keep you all updated on how I’m getting on!
