Kaiyne Woolery enjoyed a trip to England's national stadium last season with Tranmere Rovers - and taking in Scotland's equivalent with Motherwell would be just as sweet. The winger featured heavily in Tranmere’s run to Wembley Stadium for the 2021 Papa John’s Trophy final, scoring in a surprise semi-final victory over Oxford United. That set up a match in London as Woolery started the 1-0 showpiece defeat against Sunderland.Motherwell take on Hibs this Sunday in a Scottish Cup quarter-final and the winner will get a trip to Hampden Park for a semi-final clash. While manager Graham Alexander is yet to guide Motherwell to a Premiership win in 2022, Woolery is hopeful for more big days in the cup.He said: “Last season with Tranmere, I know it’s not a big cup, the Papa John’s Trophy, but we got to play at Wembley, so that was a good experience.“With Covid restrictions, I think it was 5,000 fans each, so it wasn’t too many, but it was a good experience to play at the national stadium.“Not a lot of people get the chance to play at Wembley and Hampden so I would love to be part of that.”Wins have been hard to come by in ML1 this year but 'Well's two victories have come in the Scottish Cup against Greenock Morton and Aberdeen.Woolery is hopeful that a place in the competition's last four can help lift the mood at Fir Park after a tough period: “I’m really looking forward to it."It’s an opportunity for everyone to take their mind off the league and just enjoy it a bit more.“We have had a bad run of form recently so hopefully we can just take the whole club into a different place this weekend and obviously get a good result and get to play at Hampden.“It would be a new experience for me.
