dailyrecord.co.ukA football club's charity arm is throwing its support behind a growing campaign to help save lives.Whitletts Vics in the Community is teaming up with United to Prevent Suicide, a social movement of people from all across Scotland.In recent weeks, the campaign has attracted support from Scottish women’s football and clubs such as Rangers and Celtic.Vics wellbeing officer Marna Ferguson said: “We are delighted to support this initiative."All our players, coaches, staff and volunteers are 100 per cent behind the campaign and the message we want to promote is TALK, there is always someone to Talk to, Talking saves lives."The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page with the sections that matter to you.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now on iOS and Android.Over the last year, Vics have expanded their community support programme which now provides regular weekly group sessions in the community, one-on-one support, and a men’s health and fitness group.And through the winter, more than 150 families were given help to combat the cost-of-living crisis.This scheme works in tandem with Vics' weekly football programmes which support more than 250 children playing the game every week, along with school holiday programmes and evening community sessions.
