Combined with the second weekend of Sony’s “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” which is estimated at $32 million, overall grosses for the domestic box office is set to stay above $100 million for the second straight weekend, a welcome result for theaters looking for business to consistently reach pre-pandemic levels.

Current industry estimates project a $115 million overall weekend, just 11% down from last weekend’s annual high of $129 million.
