Nicola Sturgeon asks countries to work 'with urgency' on climate after COP26

This decade is "the most important in human history", Nicola Sturgeon has said, as she called for countries to take quick action on the Glasgow Climate Pact.The First Minister said governments should implement the internationally-agreed pact "fully and with urgency", saying she understood the frustration of those who felt more progress should have been made.

She updated MSPs on the outcomes of Cop26 in the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday, saying more than 40,000 people registered to attend the climate summit and tens of thousands of activists also visited the city.
