Ethan Shanfeld Neon has partnered with Direct Relief for its upcoming anthology film “The Year of the Everlasting Storm,” and it will donate to the organization’s worldwide COVID-19 relief efforts.The feature, which will be released theatrically later this year, is making its debut at Cannes Film Festival today as part of the Special Screening section.With its donation, Neon aims to support real-time COVID-19 direct response through the distribution of funds, tests, supplies and vaccines to countries and areas that have been hit the hardest by the pandemic.Helmed by filmmakers Jafar Panâhi, Anthony Chen, Malik Vitthal, Laura Poitras, Dominga Sotomayor, David Lowery and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, “The Year of the Everlasting Storm” follows.
