Mario Cantone is opening up about how he learned about Willie Garson‘s cancer diagnosis. The 62-year-old actor, who starred opposite Willie in the Sex and The City series, the films, and the sequel, And Just Like That, opened up in a new interview with People. Click inside to read more… Mario confirmed the reports again that Sarah Jessica Parker was the only one who knew about Willie‘s cancer, and that he only found out when Willie told him. “I had no idea until he told me,” he said, adding that he “thought he was kidding.
And then he turned his head and I saw his look and I went, and then I sat down next to him. We both cried and it was horrible.” Willie died of pancreatic cancer after a private battle at the age of 57 as the show was actively filming.
