Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United have made initial enquiries about signing Lyon forward Moussa Dembele in the summer transfer window. It comes after Ralf Rangnick advised United to look at signing a younger striker at the end of the season.
The Manchester Evening News understands there is some interest from United over a possible deal, although the 25-year-old is just one of a number of players currently being looked at.
A source close to the Lyon player reiterated that Dembele would only be viewed as a squad player if he were to move to United this summer and that he'd likely be viewed as a replacement for the departing Edinson Cavani, rather than as a regular starter. It has been reiterated that the forward will consider any opportunities which could come his way, though there is great emphasis on the overall project of any club he looks to join.
