Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United supporters have been airing their bemusement over Jadon Sancho's omission from the latest England squad after an interesting statistics comparison between the winger and Jack Grealish was highlighted.
Like teammate Marcus Rashford, the 21-year-old was left out of Gareth Southgate’s selection for next week’s friendlies against the Ivory Coast and Switzerland.
Many were surprised by the decision to leave out Sancho, who has seen an uptick in form for his club side. In his last seven Premier League games, he has bagged three assists and scored twice, including a Manchester derby equaliser.
Meanwhile, Manchester City playmaker Grealish - who is included in the Three Lions squad - has bagged just two goals and two assists in 19 league games all season.
