Henderson tested positive in his first week back in pre-season training in mid-July but returned to United's Carrington training complex for light sessions this week.
The 24-year-old is not expected to play again until next month as United have just two more Premier League fixtures before the September internationals.
Henderson missed United's opening friendlies with Derby County and Queens Park Rangers after contracting Covid-19 and he struggled with symptoms beyond the period of isolation, so was unable to travel with
