Manchester's St Patrick's Day parade is still set to go ahead, organisers have confirmed after Dublin's celebrations were cancelled.
The Irish government has called off the capital's procession as part of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus. Several smaller parades celebrating the country's patron saint's day on March 17 have also been abandoned .
Manchester Irish Festival organisers say their parade is still expected to go ahead as planned this Sunday, 'at this time'. The situation will be closely monitored until then, president Pat Karney said.
