Two survivors of the Manchester Arena terror attack, bound by their shared experience, have found love. Caitlin McNeil and Millie Tomlinson were both at the Ariana Grande concert the night of the attack that killed 22 people, on May 22, 2017.

They did not know each other before the horrific events of that night, The Sunday Mirror reports. In fact they met during filming of a BBC documentary, Manchester Bomb: Our Story more than a year after the attack.

They became friends and helped each other come to terms with the ongoing trauma. It wasn’t until this year that they started dating with a romantic walk on Valentine’s Day.
