Man charged with drug offences as two teenagers arrested

A man has been charged with possessing drugs and two teenagers have been arrested after police pulled over a car. Lancashire Police officers say they spotted a suspected stolen vehicle on the M66 near Bury yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, October 12).

The car was later pulled over on Burnley Road, Hapton. READ MORE: Five arrested after spate of moped robberies in Stockport Leon Murphy, 29, of London Road, Stockport, was charged with possessing a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis.

He was bailed to appear at Burnley Magistrates’ Court on November 2. Police say an 18-year-old man from Manchester was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, drug driving and possession of a Class B or C drug.
