Man charged after boy, 12, critically injured in crash in south Manchester

Richard John, also known as Richard Allan, of Brighouse, West Yorkshire, has appeared before magistrates. The 37-year-old has been charged with causing serious injury by driving whilst disqualified; failing to stop or report an injury after a road traffic collision; and perverting the course of justice.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester and Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday). Mr John been remanded in custody again and will appear Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday, June 23.
