MF DOOM was "85% done" with his contributions to a new Madvillian album, according to Stones Throw founder Peanut Butter Wolf.

Stones Throw released the original Madvillain album Madvillainy in 2004 to critical acclaim, kickstarting the careers of DOOM and producer Madlib.

The comments were made on the Juan Ep is Dead podcast hosted by Pete Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds, as Okayplayer reports. "DOOM was always telling me ‘It’s 85 percent done, it’s 85 percent done," Wolf said of a new Madvillainy project.

DOOM sent over 11 songs in 2009, Wolf revealed, but asked Wolf to hold off on releasing so more tracks could be recorded. Over time, DOOM's verses for the Madvillainy sequel would appear in features for other rappers' songs or in leaks.
