SHE shot to fame after winning Love Island but Amber Davies admits she would not want to appear on the reality show now because it has become too “vicious”.

Amber, 25, won series three of the hit ITV2 dating show in 2017 with ex-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, 25, but she has warned that new contestants will need a “thick skin” because of the abuse they may face on social media.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun On Sunday, Amber, who has gone on to have a successful career as a singer, dancer and actress, said: “When I did it five years ago it wasn’t as vicious as it is now — the hate online that they all get, it’s savage. “I’m so glad I did it when I did.

I was only 20 when I won, and when I look back I think, ‘Wow, I was really strong’. The new contestants need to have a good support system and a really thick skin.” The Welsh-speaking beauty, from Denbigh, North Wales, moved to London at 16 after gaining a scholarship to train at the Urdang Academy drama school.
