Fans are swarming to social media to lament the news that Irish DJ and presenter Annie Mac is hanging up her boots at BBC Radio One after 17 years.
The Dublin native joined the BBC back in 2002 as a production assistant before she landed her solo gig, Annie Mac’s Mash-Up, in 2004.
While she is normally delighting people’s earbuds with the best new music on her flagship show, Future Sounds, the multi-hyphenate creative also runs her own podcast and her debut novel, Mother Mother, lands at the end of May.
