Henri Stout Dirt Real Estate EditorIn defiance of the economic catastrophe that’s accompanied the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, art world titan Larry Gagosian has closed a deal to take up occupancy in a portion of the now defunct Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles.

Beginning in January of 2021, the international gallerist will launch programming in what’s called the Grand Theater Gallery on the first floor of the gigantic 90,000-square-foot former Masonic hall.

‘Uncharted’ Tops U.K. Box Office, ‘Sing 2’ Close Behind; ‘Spider-Man’ Beats ‘Avatar’

Naman Ramachandran Sony’s “Uncharted” remained atop the U.K. and Ireland box office for the second weekend in a row, while Universal’s “Sing 2” maintained its strong showing.“Uncharted,” featuring a galaxy of stars including Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas, collected £3.7 million ($5.1 million) in its second weekend and now has a total of £12.1 million, according to numbers released by Comscore.In second place, animated sequel “Sing 2,” with an array of voice actors including Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson also performed strongly during school half-term holidays in the territory and collected £3.1 million.

Razzie Awards Founder Regrets Shelley Duvall’s ‘Shining’ Nomination: ‘I’d Take That Back’

Zack Sharf Maureen Murphy, who founded the Razzie Awards in 1981 with John J.B. Wilson, said in a new interview with Vulture that she regrets giving a worst actress nomination to Shelley Duvall for “The Shining.” The Razzie Awards are held annually the day before the Oscars and spotlight the worst films and performances of the year. The voting body consists of 1,128 members from 49 states and over two dozen countries worldwide.“Knowing the backstory and the way that Stanley Kubrick kind of pulverized her, I would take that back,” Murphy said when asked about the more controversial Razzie Award nominees from over the years.
