Anatomy of A Fall, from Neon, stars Sandra Hüller as a writer living with her husband and visually impaired son in a remote mountain town in France.
When her husband is found dead outside their home an inquiry becomes a murder investigation and Sandra is indicted – the main evidence against apparently being the complexity of her marriage, which is piercingly dissected at trial. “Thank you for never trying to make this character a perfect heroin,” Triet told Huller. “Thank you for creating a complex woman who never apologizes for saying what she thinks.” In competitive field, much decorated Anatomy Of A Fall was considered the frontrunner.
