Watching Peter Farrelly’s new film, The Greatest Beer Run Ever, and knowing little about it going in, I kept thinking this would be a totally absurd, beyond belief story if it isn’t one that really happened. By the end I saw it is indeed 100% true, proving life can sometimes be stranger than fiction.  As such it turns out to be one of the more memorable, and certainly heartfelt movies this year, as well as a Vietnam War movie that couldn’t be further from The Deer Hunter, Platoon, and Apocalypse Now,  but a character-driven drama that defies logic but makes you believe once again in the power of the human spirit. This is the rare Vietnam film seen from the POV of a civilian, a key reason it works as well as it does.

Michelle Branch and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney have agreed to suspend divorce proceedings for at least six months.Last month, Branch confirmed the pair had separated after three years of marriage. Shortly afterwards, it was reported that Branch had filed for divorce from Carney, citing “irreconcilable differences”.Now, as Rolling Stone reports, a court order signed on Tuesday (Wednesday 13) by a Tennessee judge states that divorce proceedings are “suspended without prejudice” for the six-month period.“During the period of suspension the parties may participate in counseling services to effectuate reconciliation and/or may resume living together as husband and wife,” the court order continues.“Their acts and conduct in doing so shall not be determined condonation of any prior misconduct and all acts or actions by the parties prior to the entry of this order shall remain and constitute grounds for divorce.”As Rolling Stone points out, to win divorce proceedings, Tennessee law requires spouses cite grounds such as adultery, abandonment or uncontested irreconcilable differences.It was reported on August 11 that Branch and Carney had separated.

King Charles III waited for Queen Elizabeth II's casket to arrive at Buckingham Palace with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle directly behind him on a staircase Tuesday evening in London. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at the palace shortly before the queen's casket, and only after it made the journey from the RAF Northolt air station in Ruislip. Londoners lined the streets to get a chance to see the queen's casket before arriving at the palace.

Just days ahead of the event, Serbian authorities have banned the 2022 EuroPride Parade through the streets of the country’s capital Belgrade.Last month, the Serbian Church had called for armed attacks on LGBTQI people marching in EuroPride.
