A report in Portugal states that Celtic are ready to "move forward" for Jota as they weigh up exercising their option to buy in January.

The winger joined the Parkhead club on loan from Benfica in the summer with a €7.5m (£6.5m) buyout included in the deal. The 22-year-old has been an instant hit under Ange Postecoglou, with two goals and three assists in eight Premiership games.

Jota has also impressed in the Europa League, with the forward scoring against Ferencvaros on Thursday after setting up two in previous group games. That's led to calls from fans to bring him to Celtic permanently, and Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports there could be movement on that front.
