Maggie Moore(s) has the real life families behind the tragedies upset. Starring Jon Hamm and Tina Fey, the movie is described as a “black comedy” where the police chief starts to unravel a web of small-town lies while investigating the bizarre murders of two women with the same name.

The movie is loosely based off the real life murders of Mary Lou Morris and Mary McGinnis Morris, and their daughters weren’t too happy about the movie. Because this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me — and then to figure out that it was being done in a comedic format was really hurtful.
