Manager Jamie McKim believes “fine margins” are costing Burgh points after suffering a last-gasp defeat to Gartcairn. The Keanie Park side looked to set to bag at least a point at the MTC Park in Airdrie until an injury time winner sealed victory for the hosts.McKim admits it was a bitter pill to swallow as his side continue to search for consistency after enjoying a positive start to their First Division campaign.McKim told Renfrewshire Live Sport: “It was a very even game so we were feeling hard done by to come away from it with nothing.“Their keeper was outstanding in the first half.

We could easily have been two or three up at the break and no-one could have complained. It was a mirror image in the second half, with our keeper brilliant to keep us in it.“It’s always tough to concede at that stage of the game when you don’t have any time to recover.

It’s just the fine margins that have cost us. A win would have sent us joint-top. Unfortunately that wasn’t to be.“We need to stop giving away cheap goals and try to find that consistency.

There’s no panic as it’s been a decent start to the season.“Every game has been tight and we just need to get back to the basics, be harder to score against and be more clinical in front of goal.”Burgh have a welcome break from league duty this weekend when they welcome Campbeltown Pupils to Keanie Park in cup competition.McKim is hoping his side take the opportunity to reach the next round and don’t make the mistake of thinking they’ve beaten the Fourth Division side before a ball is kicked.McKim said: “We know in cup football that teams playing those in divisions above them can raise their levels significantly.“It’s a totally different pressure on us because we are expected to win
