The news came out on Monday as the actor celebrated his birthday with co-stars, Birmingham Live reports. Giving him a big bash to remember, Barbara Knox, who plays Rita Tanner and Patti Clare, who plays Mary Taylor, brought Peter a birthday cake to enjoy on set.
