Ingenious Aberdeen fans take in Rangers game as they solve Pittodrie closed door conundrum

Premiership matches until at least September. That absence of fans was particularly keenly felt in the opening match of the new campaign.

Ordinarily Aberdeen vs Rangers would be one of the most raucous atmospheres in our game, but Pittodrie stood empty apart from substitutes and seagulls.

That doesn't mean though that no Dons fans were able to experience the game. Eagle-eyed viewers watching the match on Sky Sports were able to spot a pair of Aberdeen fans watching the match from a strategically-placed cherry picker.

The two had even arrived with a Dons flag for the occasion, though it's fair to say they might not have had the best view of the action.It's not the first time this summer Scottish fans have found slightly unconventional ways.
