Iconic Hannah Montana star arrested for 'stealing bag of crisps' as mugshot is released
ok.co.ukHannah Montana star Mitchel Musso was arrested for ‘public drunkenness and theft after stealing a bag of crisps.’ The 32-year-old actor, who gained fame for his role as Oliver Oken on the popular Disney show alongside singer Miley Cyrus, was arrested in Texas on Saturday, 26 August.TMZ reports that the star was charged with ‘public intoxication and theft’ in his hometown of Rockwall.
Police were reportedly called to his motel after he was accused of stealing a bag of crisps. Hotel employees claimed the former Disney child star became "verbally abusive" and left without paying for the snack.
Mitchel is understood to have been intoxicated, with the outlet reporting that the police found the actor outside the hotel.
He was then arrested after it was determined that he was "under the influence". Mitchel spent a night in prison before being released on Sunday after posting bail of $1000 (£793).
