Then leaks from unnamed “sources” began to drip out about their marriage in tabloids. It immediately became ugly. was first to drop the news on Sunday, September 3, that Jonas was shopping for divorce lawyers, and the report contained some not-so-veiled misogynistic digs at Turner.A source with “direct knowledge” told the site that Joe had been caring for their two young children “pretty much all of the time,” while the Jonas Brothers were on tour. “We're told Joe currently has both kids, as the group plays around the US,” TMZ wrote.The implication was clear: According to this “source,” Turner has not been actively parenting her two young children with Jonas, ages three and one.

Nowhere in the TMZ report does it mention that Turner, 27, has recently been in the UK filming a for the upcoming ITV series Joan.

And truthfully, we have no idea what their current child care arrangement is. But since mothers are always expected to be taking on at least half (and let’s be real, more like most) of the task of raising their children, despite their job or personal commitments, the intent of the “source” is pretty obvious.
