'I'm going to put you in a grave alongside your nan'

A man bombarded his ex-girlfriend with "utterly vile" messages after finding out she was in a new relationship. Fethi Chebbi, 38, left his former partner terrified after sending her abusive texts and voicemails.

He called her more than 100 times between January 18 and January 22 this year, telling her: "I'm going to slice you up", "I'm going to chop your head off", and "I'm going to put you in a grave alongside your nan", the Liverpool Echo repots.

He also visited her home and hurled a bag at her head during an argument, bruising her eye. Chebbi appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to harassment and common assault. In April 2022, he was jailed for 20 months after violently attacking his then-partner on two occasions, burning her with a cigarette, tearing out her hair extensions, and slapping and punching her.
