Now, the Mirror has reported that the Prince will wear his military uniform on Saturday 17 September in a special tribute to the late sovereign. It appears the Duke of Sussex will don his military colours for a lying-in-state vigil staged by the Queen's grandchildren at Westminster Hall.

Prince Harry turned 38 on Thursday but don't expect the Duke of Sussex to commemorate the occasion publicly, if at all, following Queen Elizabeth II's death.A source close to the royal family tells ET that the family is in a one-month period of mourning and Harry is not expected to do anything to mark the day, except spend it privately. The Princess Royal is visiting Scotland today, accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence. She is touring the Glasgow City Chambers, one of the city's most celebrated works of architecture, and meet with representatives of organisations of which the late Queen was a patron. Anne was accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence, was pictured chatting to crowds outside before reading messages left on bouquets.  This comes after Anne, 72, has taken a front-and-centre position during the preparations for her mother's funeral, appearing alongside her brothers and nephews during the coffin's procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall yesterday.

A Royal guard caused a small commotion in the early hours of Thursday morning as he fainted while guarding The Queen’s coffin and toppled face first from the podium. The unfortunate event happened at around 1am, just as the guard was about to change over, with one soldier dressed in black appearing to be a little unsteady on his feet ahead of the incident.

Meghan Markle has turned down an invitation to attend a swanky awards ceremony in the US following the death of The Queen. Meghan, 41, was due to be honoured at an event hosted by Variety, to celebrate the publication of its ‘Power of Women’ issue on September 28. The Duchess of Sussex had been approached by the magazine to appear alongside other famous women including Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, as they discussed the "tropes holding women back”.
