People in West Dunbartonshire already struggling are facing a “horrendous winter” due to a £20 benefits cut, according to the boss of a lifeline service.Joe McCormack, chief executive officer of West Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau, has warned that the £20 a week Universal Credit reduction couldn’t have come at a worse time.Around one in six working-age people across the region will be impacted by the removal of the uplift which was brought in at the start of the pandemic to offset the impact the Covid crisis was having on the economy.But with fuel costs increasing and furlough ending, Mr McCormack says it will lead to severe problems for people trying to make ends meet.He told the Lennox Herald: “A lot of families, a lot of clients
