Hollywood's Arena Cinelounge Reopening on Nearby Montalban Rooftop

Hollywood's arthouse cinema Arena Cinelounge is reopening as an outdoor venue for the time being on the roof of the nearby Montalbán.

Indoor theaters remain closed across California amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic. It isn't clear when they will get the permission to flip on the lights.

On Sept. 2, Arena Cinelounge at the Montalbán Rooftop kicks off Murder in the Woods. The indie thriller is directed and produced by Mexican filmmaker Luis Iga Garza (The Call) from a script by Yelyna De León (Will and Grace, A Better Life).

Part of the Montalbán Rooftop's mission is to support Latino talent. Murder in the Woods , featuring an ensemble cast of people of color, was created by and was created by an all Latinx group of filmmakers.
