Heartbreak as 'brave' mum, 33, dies months after cancer diagnosis

Tributes have been paid to a mum-of-two who has died just months after being diagnosed with cancer. Doctors initially put Danielle Tara Harker's pain down to Crohn's Disease which she had been living with since the age of 17.

However, the 33-year-old later received the devastating news that she had stage four bowel cancer. Danielle, from Burnley, Lancashire, was mother to Shae, three and Arlo, two, and had been married to Anthony Harker since 2017, Lancs Live reports.

Tributes to the popular mother have flooded on social media as friends and relatives remembered a 'dear friend' who 'always went the extra mile'. I dropped the kids off at nursery this morning, then drove to the funeral home where Danielle is. I stood there with my hands on the door of the building, just so that Danielle would know she was not alone.
