Harry Maguire was determined to carry on playing against Fulham on Saturday after picking up an early knock to the head. Maguire went down inside the first minute at Craven Cottage after colliding with Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz as the pair battled for possession.

The centre-back suffered a blow to the head and looked slightly dazed. After being checked by United's medical staff and following concussion protocols, Maguire continued and produced another solid performance, despite going down again with a hand injury.

Erik ten Hag's side went on to win 1-0, with Bruno Fernandes scoring the winner in added time. The performance was far from perfect, however, with Fulham arguably the better side in the second half. But victory can hopefully give Ten Hag's side some confidence and optimism going into another huge week before the November international break.
