It used to just be a tiny biscuit popped on the side of your saucer if you stopped off for a coffee, but it seems that Lotus Biscoff is taking over the world.
OK that might be a slight exaggeration, but it's certainly had a new lease of life. From Biscoff spread to sandwich cream biscuits, there are now all sorts of products you can buy from the range. Read more: We compared chicken nuggets from Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Asda, Aldi and Lidl and this one took gold Cafes and restaurants have also been quick to jump on the trend with Biscoff cheesecakes, shortbread and every other delight you can think of.
And while shoppers and customers seem to be lapping them up, they certainly don't come cheap. A 400g jar of Lotus Biscuit Spread will set you back £2.70 at Tesco, with a pack of three Biscoff Ice Cream Sticks costing £4.10.
So with shoppers raving over Aldi's ice cream equivalent, costing £2.19 a pack, we of course had to give them a go. There's no mention of Biscoff of course as they can't use that brand name, but the retailer has called its version Gianni's Caramelised Biscuits Chocsticks.
